Grand Theft Auto 3

PC Version

Extremely Short Review: I installed Grand Theft Auto 3 on my PC.  It worked great, and it's an incredibly fun game. But then I found that loading a saved game causes the program to crash everytime. I tried to patch the game, but it didn't work. I would have returned the game to the store at this point, but I.. lost my reciept. And the box. And the CD, somehow.

Here's a scene I might have come across, if I was able to play the damn game.

So based on the 15 minutes I played it, GTA3 for PC is totally awesome. Maybe it gets repetitive if you play it a lot, I wouldn't know.

BUYING GUIDE

If you've been reading the previous Buying Guides, you're probably expecting something along the lines of "Pirate this game LOL!" Well brother, listen up: GTA 3 is one of the hardest games in to pirate in modern times. When I my identical twin brother tried to download it, I he got a renamed copy of Star Wars Racer instead. On the second try, he got a renamed copy of Motocross Madness. After that, Aliens vs Predator, Desperadoes, and Carmegeddon. Either Rockstar Games is up to some underhanded tricks, or there are a lot of morons and assholes on Kazaa.

But on the sixth try, it actually worked, and damn, it was worth the effort. Just like every game critic in the world has been telling you, GTA3 is one of the best games in years. If I were you, I'd hop over to my local Electronics Boutique immediately and slap down $50 for this sucker. However, I'm not you, so I'm going to recommend that you pirate this game. If you're caught, you can simply blame the game for corrupting your morals and making you steal. Either way, you're homefree.
