Apparently MameWAH still sends the [cloneof] tag even if it is empty.

08-12-06

Well version .13 is now available. After many hours I believe the CPV2 is in final working condition as

far as feature changes. I am looking into adding screenshot generation capabilities but other than that it's

about done. Of course if you users have and good ideas I will happily consider them. This release

addresses an issue where clones would display the name of the parent rom in Mame. If was impossible

to fix this without interfacing with Mame. So, you will now see another executable for generating a

Descriptions.txt file. Please consult the documentation for usage.

It displays much quicker than my CPViewer application and does not require the .NET

framework. I has the ability to read CPViewer layout files and requires them to function

properly for Mame using the controls.ini file. Currently it doesn't have a rotate feature for

cocktail cabinets but will fill everyone's needs for their uprights.

It goes out to TimO and Stuzza. They did all the hard work. I just rearranged a few things. Thanks a lot guys. I am also assembling all of the images I used and will post them soon.

08-29-04 (again)

As you know, CPViewer is being VERY actively developed. Because of this bugs occur and problem arise. Sometime when you download a new version it has bug but an older version forked. For this reason I am making some older versions available. Click on the links below to download previous versions.

Removed Links and files! Please email me if you need a particular version.

08-29-04

Exciting news! A new version is available that's quite a bit FASTER and Much EASIER to use. In the past it was quite confusing how to start designing your layout. Depending on your Operating System orientation in your cabinet (cocktail cabinets especially), horizontal games may need to have vertically designed layouts. Now there is a New Layout Wizard which automatically removes all of this confusion. Also included are some bug fixes. Read the version.txt file for more information. I'm sure a couple new ones have been introduced but with your feedback I'll take care of the very promptly.

08-17-04

A new controls.ini file is available. Click here to get it now. The update moves us to 718 supported games.
