The only true competitor to the mighty Amiga. This rivalry spawned many an argument much like the C64-Speccy wars in the early 80's.

Today, Gemulator is available in both MS-DOS and Windows versions, and still offers full speed Atari ST emulation on 486 processors or better. Commodore Plus 4

You don't think that I'm a little partial to Commodore machines do you? I don't think anyone can argue with the technical superiority of the Commodore line up at the time.

The predecessor to the Commodore Amiga, this machine paved the way for great graphics and sound using yet more custom chips. This machine probably has the largest software catalogue of any type of computer or console to date.

Commodore 128

The successor to the almighty C64! The C128 was three computers in one. First and formost, it was the 128. Basically a souped-up C64, in 128 mode, you had twice as much memory with which to play. The second mode was a C64 emulation mode. Entering C64 mode really did make your 128 a C64. The third mode was a CP/M mode.

The Mighty Amiga 500!

Commodore Amiga

Who could the forget the amazing Amiga. I loved this machine and still own one. The first multi-threaded OS and a nice GUI well before Microsoft and simply excellent graphics and sound. This machine had everything but decent marketing and eventually like a lot of the best technology (Beta anyone!) went the way of the dinosaurs.

MSX 1, 2

Stands for Machines with Software eXchangeability. Designed by Microsoft in 1981, this was supposed to set the standard for computing. Was this an early attempt to corner the market? Hugely popular in Japan and Asia the MSX2 was released in 1985.
