Boards Donated, yet to be Sold

This list is large but according to the official donation page is a nice stockpile of revenue to be. This list includes 16 boards. Now using the value from the previous calculation of $150 we get another $2500.00

Subtotal: $6720.00

Okay to be fair we must now subtract associated costs of returning boards to donators who have requested it.

Boards Returned

This list is a total of 21. Now it's been noted before that the average cost of shipping is roughly $30.00 for a parcel of this size. I'm also sure that most could shop around and get better pricing. Also note that 2 of the donators make up more than half of this list so volume would be another discount factor. For the purpose of the exercise we'll just use $30.00 as the standard for a total of $630.00

Subtotal: $6090.00

Boards Yet to be Returned

The final group is made up of boards in the posession of the CPS2 Shock team yet to be returned. This is a total of eleven more boards. Shipping cost using the above value $330.00

Subtotal: $5760.00

Now remember that current status indicates that Xor releases will be slow or non-existant until donations increase. I'm sure this is more than okay with board donators waiting to play the game that they so generously donated huh?

So the question remains, what has the balance been spent on especially since the last group according to the Donations Page are yet to be returned to their rightfull owners! Now I'll be the first to admit that I have yet to donate anything to this project and in light of the questionable mathematics of the current system, I never will. So this exercise is more in the way of a wake up to anyone who thinks that this is okay. At no time has it been made clear that donators were funding the CPS2 Shock team's social life, mortgage payments or vet fees :p If this was the case I'm sure some people wouldn't have a real issue with it. Sure donations might be real slim but at least the system would be honest. Instead we have this cloak & dagger system of thanks but can we have some more money.

We are also yet to see the CPS2 Shock team buy a board. If I'm incorrect please tell me. In spite of this we still have a list of boards that the team would prefer sent to them. Now surely given the donation statement, these boards could be bought at the very least from genuine arcade suppliers and yet we still have the board and fund begging. Me-thinks there's a stench here somewhere and its suspiciously like bullshit. How about we all wipe our shoes off before we go any further!

An often hotly debated topic in the emulation scene is the arbitrary use of a 2-3 ban on emulated games. This means that any games that have a manufactured date of less than 2-3 years will not be emulated and released to the public. In many instances the actual roms are even hoarded to prevent "unscrupulous" emu authors from bypassing the elitist conscience. Again I don't have a real problem with this ruling, though a little hypocritical. By definition any form of playing arcade game roms on your computer is illegal but we will leave that discussion for another day shall we.

Laughingly, it seems the emulation authors cannot help themselves, regardless of the self imposed ban. A  case in point would be Mame itself. If you take the trouble to download the mame source and look at it. You would find completed drivers for late games that have been commented out. This would indicate that the elite in the scene have the roms and are playing them as we speak. This act of hypocracy seems to also be a part of the CPS2 Shock team except they have the effrontery to make the public first pay for it and then be told to wait a few years =) Kind of lametable don't you agree?

You may well ask how we would know this especially as late boards are not even listed. I submit this proof to you of this scandelous state of affairs. Now if you were Razoola and company, do you believe that you wouldn't Xor the later games. Afterall, you need to get to them before the suicide protection rolls on in. Then after Xoring the rom and having it sitting there on your hard drive, could you really exercise self restraint? I think not, especially given the apparent rules for some and rules for others scenario. I'm thinking that there's an elite version of CPS2 Mame being passed around even as we speak. What would it look like to be able to play...say Gigawing on your PC. Well I've gone to the hard work of dredging the internet to try and give you some form of indication. Have a look at this photo as an indication of whats going on in the elite echelon's of the emulation scene so to speak. Sure, its an immediately amusing shot, but would indicate an apparent disregard for the supposed conventions, wouldn't you say?

We then go on to the next item of proof that your money is being used for nefarious and dishonest schemes. Don't forget that we have a bankroll of over $5000.00 here. That is of course unless it hasn't gone to pay the well publicised vet bills or for that extension to the house to include a nice cedar-lined sauna! Remember the announcements of new CPS2 games still be released, one of which was ProGear No Arashi. This game has only been released this year and yet it's interesting what you find when you search EBay for some nice cart pictures. Check this out!

Yep, you guessed it, it's a 2001 game being sold obviously after being xored and yet nowhere is this mentioned. In fact given other evidence it's probably safe to assume that ol' Raz and Co are laughing it up as we speak playing this new game while the donators and rest of us have to wait 3 years to see this release. We could endlessly speculate even more on this sad state of affairs but I'll leave it to you, the humble reader to start asking the questions. In the words of someone close to this article "peace".
